ladybird

As charming as its name

Look! A tiny, round creature is crawling over a leaf. Red with black spots, sometimes yellow or orange. That’s a ladybird! People say you can make a wish when you see one. Who knows, it might bring you good luck!

Did you know that…

  • Ladybirds are real superheroes. They eat aphids – tiny insects that nibble on leaves. A single ladybird can eat up to 100 aphids a day!

  • When a ladybird feels threatened, it stays completely still. Sometimes, it releases an orange droplet from its legs – and it stinks! This helps scare away predators.

  • And those spots? They show which species it belongs to. Some have two, others up to fourteen.

How many spots can you count?

how can you help ladybirds?

Ladybirds love flowers. Here at the resort, they feel right at home. Do you see a little spot moving on a leaf? Feel free to watch, but let it be. After all, this tiny creature is a superhero in action!
